Technical-legal support at every stage
Managing an environmental permit in Honduras goes far beyond filing paperwork. It requires solid institutional relationships, deep knowledge of the national regulatory framework, and the ability to respond technically to authority observations within tight timeframes. On complex projects we manage environmental, maritime, forestry, heritage and municipal permits in parallel.

Preguntas frecuentes sobre Environmental Licensing and Permits
Regulatory clarity with technical-legal judgment. We answer the most common questions from project directors and compliance officers.
How does a permitting process with ACQUA begin?
We start with a no-commitment initial consultation to understand the project's scope. From there we run a technical-legal diagnosis and propose a regulatory pathway with timelines, identified risks and clear deliverables.
Do you handle maritime and port permits?
Yes. Our maritime department is a leading reference for the Honduran fleet: vessel certification, registration, navigation authorizations and fishing permits. We have supported cruise terminals in Roatán and cargo and fuel terminals in Roatán and Puerto Cortés.
Can you process permits in parallel?
Yes. On large projects we coordinate environmental, forestry, cultural heritage (IHAH), maritime (DGMM) and municipal permits simultaneously. Parallel management saves months of schedule versus sequential processes.
Have you contributed to national regulations?
Yes. ACQUA has contributed directly to the Bay Islands Protected Area Management Plan, to hydrocarbon regulations and to fisheries norms.
