ACQUA ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
I. INTRODUCTION
ACQUA S.A. is an environmental services provider company registered within the Honduran Ministry of Energy, Natural Resources, Environment and Mines (MIAMBIENTE). It provides a wide range of environmental services, from the preparation of environmental impact assessments, environmental audits, and implementation of mitigation measures among others.
As a result of its growth and the need to raise its performance standards, it is implementing policies and procedures to meet international requirements for its work. Among those policies, we have this Environmental Policy.
II. POLICY and OBJECTIVES
Protecting our shared environment is of utmost importance to our company, as it is to our employees and contractors and is wholly committed to environmental protection.
Furthermore, us at ACQUA, as an environmental consulting company, we have an obligation to show our clients, as declared in this Environmental Policy, that we are committed to:
– Complying with all applicable environmental regulations. – Continually improving the environmental performance of our activities. – Protecting the health and safety of our employees and contractors. – Contributing to the environmental improvement of our surrounding communities and ecosystems.
We will work to achieve these commitments by:
– Requiring environmental awareness of all our employees and contractors. – Considering the environmental risks associated with our activities. – Working collaboratively with our customers and the surrounding community on environmental issues.
Special emphasis is required for two major components to help minimize our impact: 1) WASTE REDUCTION AND RECYCLING: helping to preserve the environment by using the principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling; and 2) RESOURCE CONSERVATION: focusing on improving energy efficiency, best energy conservation practices, and reducing energy costs through environmental controls.
III. CONCLUSION
ACQUA’s Environmental Policy is a valuable instrument to ensure that our activities are environmentally sustainable.
